Overview
Architecture Burj Khalifa. Everything you need to know about the set.
Build a LEGO model of the tallest building ever constructed by humans!
At 828 metres, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure. This tower of steel, glass and reinforced concrete was built between 2004 and 2010 under the direction of architect Adrian D. Smith. It is intended to help shift Dubai's economy, which was previously heavily reliant on oil, towards services and tourism. At nearly one kilometre in height, the Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest freestanding building in the world. In Dubai's strong desert winds, the tower's peak sways by almost 1.5 metres in total. The Burj Khalifa has 57 elevators, which cover the longest distance of any building. The Burj Khalifa model is 40 cm tall and 10 cm wide and stands on a base plate with the building's name. An enclosed booklet provides information about the building, its construction and its history.
